Does anyone know how to remove jeans buttons on a garment?

I have a jean jacket that I am remodeling. I have these old big buttons that I would put in it to make it look funky rather than "generic", but the jacket has metal buttons that are placed in machines, the same kind usually found in jeans (pants). I do not want to take the scissors, as this would destroy the fabric and make other buttons to the existence impossible. Has anyone had this type of buttons off successfully?

I have done this, it's pretty low-tech ...... take a hammer for him. Libra is down. You will have a hole, but not so great. I suggest sewing the button again with a long needle and waxed dental floss. If the fabric is not denim or canvas, do not. heavier fabrics are fine, but anything that would spoil.
